Chargers give WR Floyd three-year extension
San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - The San Diego Chargers signed wide receiver Malcom Floyd to a three-year contract extension on Wednesday.
Floyd has caught 13 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown in three games this season.
The 31-year-old Floyd, who signed a two-year deal with San Diego shortly after the lockout ended last season, has caught 190 passes for 3,397 yards and 21 touchdowns in 77 career games with the Chargers.
``I guess all these years of hard work have paid off,'' Floyd said in an interview posted on the team's website. ``They took great care of me, and now I get to start and finish my career as a Chargers. That's something I always dreamed about.''
