Lakers' Bynum out at least one week with Achilles strain

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - An MRI on Andrew Bynum's Achilles tendon revealed no tear and just a strain, though the Lakers center will miss at least one week's worth of action.

Bynum suffered the injury during Friday's game against Minnesota, as he felt a pop in his left Achilles running down the court.

The injury will be re-evaluated after Bynum sits on the sideline for the next week.

The oft-injured 22-year-old has missed just four games for the Lakers this season after appearing in a combined 85 over the previous two years.

Bynum is averaging 15.0 points and 8.3 rebounds this season.
