Malkin, Gonchar, Datsyuk sign contracts with KHL

UPDATE: According to multiple sources, Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk has signed a contract with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL.

Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL has signed two prominent NHL players. Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar have both signed deals with Metallurg according to a tweet by Pavel Lysenkov, an editor for Sovietsky Sport in Russia. No details of the contracts have been released.

Last season, Malkin led the NHL in scoring with 109 points. Gonchar ranked 22nd among NHL defencemen with 37 points.
