Pacquiao set for December return against Marquez

Manny Pacquiao is set to return to the boxing ring on Saturday, December 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and according to promoter Bob Arum, Pacquiao will fight Juan Manuel Marquez for a fourth time.

Other candidates that had been talked about as possible opponents were Timothy Bradley Jr. and Miguel Cotto. Bradley defeated Pacquiao in a very controversial decision this past June, while Pacquiao stopped Cotto in the 12th round of a 2009 fight.

Pacquiao is 2-0-1 in his three fights against Marquez, but many believe Marquez deserved victory in their latest meeting last November.

Boxing fans are still hoping for a future super fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
