Blue Jays trade Jesse Chavez to Athletics

The Toronto Blue Jays have traded pitcher Jesse Chavez to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for cash considerations.

The right-hander posted a 1-1 record with an 8.44 ERA in nine appearances with Toronto this season. The 29-year old was designated for assignment on August 5th.
