Drabek pitches two shutout innings, but Jays still fall to Phillies
Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) - Wilson Valdez went 3-for-4 with a run batted in, and the Philadelphia Phillies doubled up the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-2, in Grapefruit League action.
Cody Ransom added a solo homer for the Phillies, while Cole Hamels allowed only a home run to Jose Bautista in a 3 2/3-inning start. Hamels had also yielded a homer to Bautista in his first start of Spring Training.
Ryan Vogelsong earned the win for Philadelphia after pitching 2 1/3 frames and giving up one run on three hits and two walks.
Kyle Drabek, whom the Phillies traded to Toronto in the offseason in a deal that brought Roy Halladay to Philadelphia, started for the Blue Jays and allowed just a hit and a walk in two scoreless innings. Lyle Overbay knocked in the other run in a losing cause for Toronto.
