Report: 4-team trade that would send Howard to Lakers 'very close'

UPDATE: The proposed four-team blockbuster trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Lakers and would include Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Andre Iguodala, among others, is reportedly "very close," according to ESPN. Citing "league sources," the ESPN report states that the deal could be agreed upon as early as Friday.

ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting on twitter on that a trade call with the NBA office has been scheduled for Friday morning.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports originally reported the proposed deal earlier on Thursday.

The basic framework for the deal would see Howard and Nuggets forward Al Harrington going to the Lakers; 76ers guard Andre Iguodala going to the Nuggets; Lakers centre Andrew Bynum going to the 76ers; Lakers forward Pau Gasol and Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo going to the Magic.

This is the most recent breakthrough in any Howard trade scenarios since Magic general manager Rob Hennigan decided to suspend any Howard trade talks earlier this summer.
