Simon Whitfield to carry Canada's flag

Two-time Canadian Olympic medalist Simon Whitfield will be named as Canada's flag bearer to lead the Canadian athletes into the 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony, according to CTV Olympics.

Whitfield, a Canadian triathlete, won a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
