Report: D'backs may consider dealing Upton

According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Arizona Diamondbacks may consider trading outfielder Justin Upton before the trade deadline.

The report states that the Diamondbacks may be willing to deal Upton should they fall out of playoff contention.  Arizona (39-43) is currently seven games back in the National League West.

After hitting a career-high 31 home runs last season, Upton has struggled in the first half of 2012, which has prompted booing from the home crowd.  Despite hitting .333 in June, the 24-year old right fielder has only hit 7 home runs on the year.

Upton is under contract until 2015.
