Knicks' Stoudemire fined $50,000 for Twitter slur
New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Basketball League has fined New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire $50,000 for using offensive and derogatory language in a Twitter message.
Stoudemire reportedly sent an expletive and an anti-gay slur in a direct message to a fan, who initially taunted the forward and re-posted Stoudemire's reply on his account.
