Nash would "definitely consider" playing for Knicks

Pending free agent point guard Steve Nash says that he would definitely consider playing for the New York Knicks next season if they are interested, according to ESPN.

"The Knicks are a great franchise and I live in New York City [each summer], so I'd definitely consider them if they were interested," Nash said in Manhattan on Wednesday.

Nash continues to produce at a high level and at 38-years-old, the two-time MVP is convinced he still has three more years left in him. Nash will join Andre Miller and Jason Kidd on the list of available veteran point guards this offseason.

While multiple teams are expected to be in the hunt for Nash, he plans to wait until July 1st to make any decisions regarding his future.

"I want to wait and see what's actually on the table," Nash said. "I'm open and excited. I'm looking at every possibility right now."

Nash found new life in the 2011-12 shortened season, averaging 12.5 points and 10.7 assists per game. The eight-time All-Star also led all guards in the league in field goal percentage with 53.2%.
