Pahlsson signs in Swedish Elite League
Former Vancouver Canucks forward Samuel Pahlsson has decided to sign with Modo Hockey of the Swedish Elite League, Elitserien, the team announced.
Pahlsson was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the seventh round of the 1996 NHL Draft. After 11 seasons with six different teams, Pahlsson is set to depart from the NHL.
The 34-year-old split his 2011-12 season with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Canucks. In 80 games Pahlsson recorded 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists).
In 798 career regular season NHL games Pahlsson has 199 points (68 goals, 131 assists). At 34-years-old, Pahlsson's NHL career could be over.
