Blue Jays add Hutchison to DL with UCL sprain

The Blue Jays have placed rookie pitcher Drew Hutchison on the Disabled List with a right elbow injury and have recalled Robert Coello from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Hutchison, 21, suffered a sprain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right arm during the first inning of Toronto's victory over the Phillies on Friday night. It was the third time in four games that a Blue Jays starter was forced to leave the game with an injury.

Earlier in the week, Brandon Morrow and Kyle Drabek left starts due to injuries, with both also landing on the Disabled List.

The right-handed Hutchison was 5-3 with a 4.60 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP in 11 starts for Toronto in 2012.
