I'll Have Another retires to end Triple Crown hunt

I'll Have Another, who was looking to become the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win the Triple Crown, was scratched from the Belmont due to a swollen left front tendon.

His trainer, Doug O'Neill said "the horse being scratched is not tragic, but it's a huge disappointment"

O'Neill's bother, Dennis said "the horse is sound and happy, but it's not worth it"
