Juve manager Conte investigated for match fixing

Turin, Italy (Sports Network) - Juventus manager Antonio Conte is among a group of individuals being investigated by police in connection with a match- fixing probe in Italy.

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has also confirmed that Lazio captain Stefano Mauri and Genoa midfielder Omar Milanetto have been arrested in connection with the police investigation.

Police also arrived at Italy's training camp ahead of Euro 2012 to question former Genoa and Juventus defender Domenico Criscito, who now plays with Zenit in Russia.

FIGC vice president Demetrio Albertini said on Monday that Criscito will not be part of Italy's 23-man roster for the upcoming competition, while officers are searching more than 19 homes in Italy and other countries of players and coaches from Serie A, Serie B and lower division teams.

The investigation is focusing on 33 games over the past two seasons, with most coming in Serie B.

The FIGC released a list of 22 clubs and 61 individuals earlier this month who were reported to police to have some connection with match fixing.

Last year Italian police arrested 17 people, including Atalanta captain Cristiano Doni, who has been banned from football for over three years.
