Jerome Simpson signs with Vikings, suspended three games
The Minnesota Vikings signed free agent wide receiver Jerome Simpson to a one-year deal, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.
On the same day Simpson found himself a team, he was suspended three games by the NFL for a violation of their drug abuse policy.
In 2011, his first full season, Simpson posted 725 receiving yards on 50 receptions, adding four touchdowns.
The 26-year-old will join the Vikings after playing parts of four seasons with the Bengals, who drafted him in the second round in 2008. Simpson will have to sit out the first three regular season games of 2012.
