Deron Williams to leave NJ if they can't land D-12?

Dwight Howard's request for a trade from the Orlando Magic still stands, so does his desire to play with Deron Williams and the New Jersey Nets. According to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith Williams could leave the Nets for his hometown team, the Dallas Mavericks, if the Nets are unable to acquire Howard.

Williams reportedly has no desire to be a part of a rebuilding team at this point in his career, but with the addition of Howard they would easily become one of the tougher teams to beat.

The Nets have all the right pieces to land Howard via a trade with Orlando, but with the March 15 trade deadline looming, it is becoming more likely that any willing team will have to wait until the offseason and hope to acquire Howard on the open market.
