Dodgers sign Kershaw to 2-year, $19 M contract
The Dodgers avoided arbitration with starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw, signing the reigning Cy Young Award winner to a 2-year, $19 million contract.
The 23-year-old ace became the first Dodgers pitcher since Sandy Koufax to capture the National League triple crown for pitchers, leeading the senior circuit in wins (21), ERA (2.28), and strikeouts (248).
In 4 seasons, Kershaw has compiled a 47-28 record with a 2.88 ERA and a 9.3 strikeouts-to-innings pitched ratio.
