Knicks' Melo sidelined 1-2 weeks

The New York Knicks have seen plenty of ups and downs this season. The Knicks hit a high point on Monday night as 23-year-old Jeremy Lin led the team to a 99-88 win over the Utah Jazz in his first start at point guard. The low point came when Carmelo Anthony left the game due to injury.

Tuesday appears to be another low point for the Knicks as Anthony will miss one-to-two weeks with a strained groin, according to The New York Times' Howard Beck.

Anthony currently ranks seventh in the league in scoring with 22.3 points per game, but he has had a difficult time converting his scoring prowess into wins. The Knicks are tenth in the Eastern Conference with a 10-15 record.

Amar'e Stoudemire is also away from the team while he deals with the death of his brother.
