Report: Peyton Manning medically cleared
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has been medically cleared to resume his career, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.
Manning missed the entire 2011 season due to a neck injury that required spinal fusion surgery last summer. The 35-year-old resumed throwing in December, however multiple reports surfaced that he had lost significant velocity on his throws.
Indianapolis owner Jim Irsay must now decide wether to pay the future Hall of Fame quarterback a $28 million bonus by March 8th. If he does not, Manning will become an unrestricted free agent.
