Alabama DE Tomlinson out for season after surgery
Alabama will be without key reserve player Dalvin Tomlinson for the rest of the season after the defensive lineman underwent knee surgery, head coach Nick Saban revealed during his Monday press conference.
Tomlinson reportedly suffered the injury during practice last week and had surgery on Friday. He's expected to require four to five months of recovery time.
Tomlinson came off the bench as a rotational player in Alabama's season-opening win over West Virginia. He recorded four tackles in the game.
Tomlinson previously suffered a significant knee injury during a high school soccer game.
