Cincinnati QB Legaux out for remainder of season
Cincinnati quarterback Munchie Legaux will miss the remainder of the season with a leg injury, head coach Tommy Tuberville confirmed on Sunday.
Legaux had been transferred to UC Medical Center in Cincinnati after spending Saturday night at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill., following the game against Illinois.
Tuberville did not reveal the specific nature of the injury, only stating that it was serious.
"It's pretty significant," Tuberville told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "Obviously we all saw it on TV."
Legaux had thrown for 237 yards and a touchdown to go along with 52 yards rushing before injuring his leg in the 4th quarter. He was hit low while attempting a pass, which bent his left leg awkwardly leading to a gruesome looking injury.
Senior Brendon Kay replaced Legaux as quarterback for the Bearcats.
