White Sox bench coach ejected prior to Rangers game
UPDATE: Mark Parent wasn't around to speak with reporters after the White Sox beat the Texas Rangers, 5-2, on Sunday.
Veteran Adam Dunn didn't mind commenting on what the bench coach may have said to crew chief Jerry Layne to be ejected before the game started.
Dunn on what Parent said: "No idea. I think he was asking for his address to send him a Christmas card or something."— Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) August 25, 2013
UPDATE: White Sox bench coach Mark Parent and crew chief Jerry Layne exchanged words as quickly as they exchanged the lineup cards before the White Sox finale with the Texas Rangers at U.S Cellular Field.

Chicago was upset with a few calls in the first two games of the series, but Layne wasn't involved with any of them.
Layne did, however, try to calm down White Sox starter Chris Sale on Friday. The pitcher slammed his glove on the dugout bench several times and lashed out at the umpire.
Sale's rough outing was highlighted by a career-high four home runs in seven innings in the 11-5 loss to the Rangers, but the left-hander was more upset about his interaction with Layne, according to the Associated Press.
"All [Layne] was trying to do was help me out and calm me down," he said to reporters after Friday's game. "I said some things to him that I wish I can take back, I wish I didn't say because he is one of the good ones. I respect him a lot."
Under the heading "here's something you don't see every day," Chicago White Sox bench coach Mark Parent was ejected from Sunday's series finale against the Texas Rangers - and the game hadn't even started yet.
