RG3 says statement was "twisted and turned"
Robert Griffin III broke from his usual routine of only speaking with the media on Mondays to once again address coach Mike Shanahan’s decision not to play him in the Washington Redskins' preseason.
Griffin took the podium before Shanahan’s press conference on Tuesday to announce “there is no conflict” between the two, according to The Washington Post’s Mark Maske.
Griffin said the statement he made Monday questioning Shanahan's plan for him has been "twisted and turned" into a controversy.— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) August 13, 2013
Griffin did not take questions from the media but did say that he is “excited” to participate in full team drills for the first time on Wednesday.
