Report: Josh Johnson clears waivers
Blue Jays starter Josh Johnson has reportedly cleared waivers and is now eligible to be traded.
The report also states that Toronto is considering extending a qualifying offer to Johnson, which if declined, would net Toronto a draft pick.
Johnson makes $13.75 million this season, which is roughly what the qualifying offer is expected to be.
The 29-year old Johnson is 2-8 this season with a 6.20 ERA. However, he threw 5 shutout innings in his last start against the Mariners.
