Report: Letang turns down 8-year, $56 million offer

According to a report by Rob Rossi of the Tribune-Review, the Pittsburgh Penguins have offered defenseman Kris Letang an eight-year contract worth around $54 million.
Letang, who is due to make $3.5 million next season, played in 35 games this past season, recording five goals and 33 assists.
Earlier today, the Penguins signed forward Chris Kunitz to a three-year extension.
