Report: PSG's Kevin Trapp injured in training, set to miss 5-6 weeks
Paris Saint-Germain's first-choice shot-stopper, Kevin Trapp, was injured Thursday in training with the capital club, and is set to miss five to six weeks with a right thigh strain.
The 25-year-old German 'keeper walked off under his own volition, according to Arnaud Hermant from Le Parisien.
Trapp's initial diagnosis should see him sidelined for five to six weeks, pending further scans Thursday.
It's tough luck for the former Eintracht Frankfurt player, who - following a shaky start to his Ligue 1 career - recently found form highlighted by a stellar performance Sunday in a 2-1 victory over Marseille at Parc de Princes.
Trapp's injury gives last year's first-choice netminder Salvatore Sirigu an opportunity to prove his worth to manager Laurent Blanc, as the Italian international has yet to make an appearance for the three-time defending Ligue 1 champions this season.
