Draxler eager to see Ozil leave Arsenal for PSG

The recruiting process to convince Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal has begun.

Despite Ozil's admission that he'd be happy to stay with the Gunners, the German international appears to be hesitant to put pen to paper on a new contract before discovering whether manager Arsene Wenger will remain with the club beyond this season.

While there's been speculation over potential interest from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain could be as a possible option for Ozil following comments from compatriot Julian Draxler, who has thrived in the French capital since his transfer from Wolfsburg last month.

"There is one fellow Germany international I would like to see here: Mesut Ozil," Draxler said in an interview with beIN Sports France, as translated by Jonathan Johnson of ESPN FC.

Talks over a new contract to remain in north London have stalled in recent weeks after Arsenal and the Ozil engaged in negotiations to extend his stay beyond the 18 months left on his current contract.

In January, Ozil was quoted as saying he is "very, very happy" at Arsenal and that the final decision belonged to the club. He added that Wenger was a major influence during his decision to join the Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013 and stressed that he is eager to learn what the future holds for the veteran manager.

The future of Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal is also in doubt as he also enters the final 18 months of his contract, but like Ozil, the Chilean proclaimed he is also "very happy."
