Agent: Balotelli attracting interest from English clubs

Mario Balotelli's agent hinted that a return to England could be a possibility for his client after an impressive start to his career in France.

The Italian forward has revived his career since joining Nice on a free transfer last summer, scoring eight goals in nine Ligue 1 matches.

His performances have apparently impressed English clubs enough to contact the Liverpool and Manchester City player's agent, Mino Raiola, who insisted a move back to the Premier League is not imminent.

"We've already had talks with English clubs, but it's really too early to say," Raiola said during an interview with TalkSport. "We want to keep it day by day with Mario.

“For Mario I always knew (his return to form) will come. He was in his last year at Liverpool and he was very stable and not so emotional anymore.

"I still think it's a shame that (manager Jurgen) Klopp didn't give him a fair chance, but Mario is proving to himself, more than to others, what he can do."

The 25-year-old, however, continues to struggle with disciplinary problems after picking up his second red card of the season Wednesday during Nice's goalless draw against Bordeaux.

When he manages the stay on the pitch, the south coast team has thrived with Balotelli in the lineup, as Nice takes a two-point lead atop the Ligue 1 table into the winter break.
