Hamilton wins F1 championship after winning Abu Dhabi GP

Lewis Hamilton's done it again.

Hamilton won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday morning, his 11th win of the season, clinching his second Formula One world championship in the process. 

"Woo-hoo! Oh my god! I can't believe it!" Hamilton said after crossing the finish line. He then heard from England's Prince Harry, who came on the radio in his car to say, "You're an absolute legend." 

Hamilton kept his helmet on for a few minutes after the race, as he was overcome with emotion. He becomes the third British driver to win two F1 championships, and trails only Jackie Stewart, who won three titles. 

Hamilton even shared a moment with his teammate Nico Rosberg after the race. They battled all season towards the title, often appearing more foes than friends, with the championship on the line Sunday:

"All in all, Lewis deserved to win the championship," Rosberg said. "I'm very disappointed ... he just did a little better than me. The positive is I've been the better qualifier over the last two years and that gives me a good base."

Mercedes' Rosberg started on pole and needed to win the race and see Hamilton finish third or lower in order to win the championship. However, Rosberg finished a disappointing 14th, and second overall in the standings. 

Hamilton, who started second on the grid, took the lead from Rosberg early - it took only three seconds - and dominated Sunday to win the title.
