Gignac: I'd rather die than sign with PSG

It's not an exaggeration to say Andre-Pierre Gignac would choose death over Paris Saint-Germain.

In conversation with Life and Style, Gignac, who arrived at Club Tigres UANL from Olympique de Marseille, revealed the one club he'd never join, not for any amount of money. The French striker also told the story of how he celebrated when Barcelona completed its comeback in the Champions League's Round of 16, scaring his wife in the process.

"Of hatred, only Paris Saint-Germain," Gignac said, according to Marca. "I'd rather die than sign with them. If PSG offered me 10-times more money, I wouldn't go. You have no idea how I shouted at Barcelona's sixth goal in the Champions. My wife was scared. I screamed ... I ran."

Upon leaving Marseille for Tigres, Gignac was Ligue 1's second-highest scorer, having tallied 21 goals during the 2014-15 season.

"I had a good feeling from the beginning," Gignac declared. "When I spoke with Tigres' directors, I felt something different. I come from a gypsy culture in France, which helped."

Gignac boasts five goals in this year's edition of Liga MX's Clausura as Tigres sits ninth, one point outside of the Liguilla.
