The 2017 Gold Cup will be the 14th edition of the North and Central American-based tournament, with the United States, Mexico, and Canada automatically qualifying and Curacao, Martinique, French Guiana, and Jamaica qualifying from the Caribbean zone.

The U.S. has already been seeded in Group B and will play its group stage matches in Nashville, Tampa, and Cleveland on July 8, 12, and 15.

The winner, runner-up, third- and fourth-place finishers from the 2017 Copa Centroamericano (Central American cup) will also compete in the Gold Cup next summer, as will one more team that emerges victorious in a playoff match between a Caribbean and Central American fifth-place finisher rounds out of the 12-team tournament.
