Jones calls out Chicharito for constantly complaining to referees

U.S. men's national team midfielder Jermaine Jones has taken on Mexico a few times throughout his international career. He is likely to feature once more in an upcoming World Cup qualifying match on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.

And for Jones, there's one player he has to keep a close eye on.

One of the key battles of the day will be in the middle of the park, with Bayer Leverkusen's Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez making runs through the core of the U.S. team, where he's been specifically marked in the past by the Colorado Rapids enforcer.

Their previous encounters left Jones with a unique impression of the Mexican icon, who he says complains too much to the match officials.

"He's always talking, like 'Referee here, referee here!'" Jones told Univision, as quoted by ESPN FC.

"I told him, I said: 'Small boy, come here - We have to talk.

"And I told him: 'Stop always explaining.'

"But I think after the game was everything cool.

"I think everybody who knows Chicharito knows he is always playing on the line. And he's always, I'm not saying a dirty player, but he's always on that edge to offside."
