Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to top ranking contestants in the following prize categories, subject to verification and release requirements:

1st Overall (1) – Grand Prize

Awarded to the contestant who accumulates the most points over the course of the Contest from August 16, 2008 to January 2, 2009

Trip for two to Liverpool in spring 2009 courtesy of Carlsberg

Trip details:

Two flights to the U.K. from an eligible Canadian airport (eligible departure cities depend on the date of the Liverpool game selected)
Three days and two nights accommodation in Liverpool
Two seats in the Carlsberg box for a Liverpool match (date TBD)
All related transportation and meals
$500 CDN spending cash to be paid pre-departure

2nd Overall (1)

Awarded to the contestant who accumulates the second most points over the course of the Contest from August 16, 2008 to January 2, 2009

3rd Overall (1)

Awarded to the contestant who accumulates the third most points over the course of the Contest from August 16, 2008 to January 2, 2009

Individual Game-week Prizes

1st Place (16)

Awarded to the contestant who accumulates the most points in the applicable Game-week

Carlsberg soccer jersey

Approximate Retail Value: $100 per prize ($1,600 total)

The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $9,350.

Determination of prize winners shall take place on or about one week following the conclusion of the applicable prize period by Contest Providers whose decision shall be final. Winners will be notified by e-mail, phone, regular mail and/or overnight courier. If winner is unreachable after 10 business days an alternate winner may be selected by rank according to the rules. Potential winners must execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance Form/Release of liability within 10 business days of notification. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification and an alternate winner being chosen. To be declared a winner of any prize, the entrant may also be required to correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question. Prizes will be distributed within sixty (60) days after each potential prize winner has been successfully verified and complied with the Contest Rules. The names of all prize winners will be posted on the contest web site.

The dates elected for the Liverpool trip are at the sole discretion of the Contest Providers. If the potential winner of the prize is unable to attend, then the second place contestant will be selected as the potential winner and so on until a winner is found.
