Danny Ings' international debut will have to wait.

Having received his first-ever call-up to England's national team one week ago, the 23-year-old forward will miss England's Euro 2016 qualifier versus Estonia on Friday due to an ankle injury that he picked up during Liverpool's 1-1 draw at Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Manager Roy Hodgson, however, is keen for Ings to feature in England's final Euro 2016 qualifier in Lithuania three days later.

Ings sat out of England's training session Thursday along with Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick, the former of whom has also been ruled out of Friday's qualifier at Wembley because of an ankle injury.

England punched its ticket to Euro 2016 last month by virtue of a 6-0 thrashing against European minnow San Marino.
