PHOTO: Wesley Sneijder is short, and he knows it

Tuesday was a night to forget for Wesley Sneijder.

The Galatasaray midfielder was part of the Dutch side that fell to the Czech Republic in Euro 2016 qualifying, as the Oranje conceded a late goal en route to a surprising 2-1 loss in Group A action.

Prior to the match, however, Sneijder had to endure his most embarrassing moment of the evening.

As is customary, the players were paired with young children for their walk out of the tunnel and their lineup for the national anthems. Sneijder, who stands just shy of 5-foot-6, was teamed with a rather tall youngster.

Too ensure that he wasn't completely shielded, he needed to take some unusual measures:

Poor kid. It's not his fault he's tall.
