Louis van Gaal left frustrated as Manchester United fails to win again

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has endured his fair share of the trials and tribulations of the Premier League, but following a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the Dutchman was, in rare occasion, visibly upset with his team.

The Red Devils held a one-goal lead into extra time before Chelsea found an equalising goal. The two teams split the points as a result and Van Gaal was left ruing his team's missed chances in the end.

"We played a superb game until the last quarter and then we didn't keep the ball, we didn't play the attack the way we have to do," Van Gaal told Sky Sports. "We get a goal against, it is unbelievable that we don't reward ourselves.

"I am deeply frustrated because we were the better team and we didn't win, again. We had the chances and we didn't win."

While Van Gaal's frustrations were pointed towards his own players, he was also critical of the match officials, specifically the way they conducted the additional minutes of injury time at the end of each half.

Chelsea forward Diego Costa scored in the second of six added minutes at the end of the match, but Van Gaal says his team was not treated fairly in added time, too.

"It was for the second time, the time was already over the six minutes and then he let them kick the corner," Van Gaal explained. "We then had a free pitch for us, a lot of space and then he whistles. He did it also in the first half, maybe you remember that?

"I don't think you can do that, otherwise you don't let them kick the corner because the six minutes has passed. I don't think that is fair to the two teams."
