Report: Chinese club prepares £30M-a-year offer for Yaya Toure

Chinese club Jiangsu Suning is ready to give midfielder Yaya Toure a contract worth £30 million a season if he leaves Manchester City in the summer, according to The Telegraph's Matt Law.

City's appointment of Pep Guardiola as manager has thrown Toure's future in doubt after the two famously fell out during their days at Barcelona. The Ivory Coast international left the Blaugrana in 2010, reportedly claiming that Guardiola neglected to even acknowledge him for a year.

While Law indicates that Toure wants to remain at the Etihad until his contract ends in June 2017, his agent, Dimitry Seluk, suggested Monday that the influence of Guardiola would ultimately force the 32-year-old to find a new club.

The Spanish manager is reportedly targeting upgrades in the central defence and midfield, which are all part of a suspected £150-million transfer kit.

The move away from the defending Premier League champion, however, could also have a huge financial impact on Toure. Jiangsu Suning proved its ambition with the £21-million signing of Brazilian midfielder Ramires from Chelsea in January, asserting itself as a player in the transfer market. Two other Chinese outfits are trailing the four-time African Footballer of the Year, as well.

Such a lucrative contract would double his weekly wages to £576,923 a week and place him among the top five earners in the sport.

Laws also notes that Guardiola will inform striker Wilfried Bony and Eliaquim Mangala - acquired for a combined total of £67 million - they're no longer on the squad.
