Aston Villa fans aren't going to forgive Fabian Delph for his turncoat move to Manchester City anytime soon, greeting him once again with toy snakes in his second return to B6.

The England international was apparently proud of his Villa captaincy, and declared his commitment to the club amid rumours of a City move in the summer via the club website, stating:

I'm aware there has been intense media speculation surrounding my future in the last 24 hours and I want to set the record straight. I'm not leaving. I'm staying at the football club and I can't wait for the start of the season and captaining this great football club.

Just six days later his pledge of loyalty, however, Delph had a change of heart and joined City. He was again given a tough reception by his old supporters when his new side visited in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
