West Brom's Ben Foster in contention for Bristol City tie
Tony Pulis has hinted goalkeeper Ben Foster could be ready to return for West Brom in its visit of Bristol City in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
The England international has been sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury since March 2015 but is being assessed for his availability in this weekend's meeting.
"It's good to have Ben back. He played 45 minutes and then trained with us," Pulis told BBC Sport.
"I will speak with the medical staff but I would like to think he might be involved in Saturday's FA Cup game."
It was initially hoped Foster would be available last month, but a setback in October meant Boaz Myhill had to continue between the sticks for the Baggies.
West Brom will look to improve on its finish in the FA Cup last term, when it bowed out at the quarterfinal stage to Aston Villa.
