Manchester City 'keeper Joe Hart expected to be out 10 days
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Joe Hart suffered a muscle injury during his side's 1-0 loss to Juventus on Wednesday, and will be out of action for around 10 days.
"Joe Hart has a muscle injury - you never know as it depends how he improves but I think he will be out for 10 days," Pellegrini told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
England's number one was forced to withdraw from the Champions League tie in the 81st minute, shortly after making a fine save to deny Alvaro Morata. His replacement on the night, Argentinian Willy Caballero, is expected to take his spot between the sticks against Southampton on Saturday.
While Hart's problem makes him unavailable for this weekend, it is likely that he will sit out Tuesday's League Cup tie with Championship outfit Hull City, too. Caballero has started the previous two matches of the competition.
Following the deputy shot-stopper's likely consecutive starts, Hart should return to the fold for the Premier League trip to Stoke City on Dec. 5.
