Joe Hart dealing with hamstring, back injuries

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart suffered a hamstring injury during Wednesday's 1-0 Champions League loss to Juventus, according to club manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The English shot-stopper played through almost the entirety of the match but had to leave the game with 10 minutes to go, with Willy Caballero taking his place between the posts.

But, a hamstring issue isn't the only thing ailing Hart in recent days.

"It is impossible to know how serious his injury is at this point," Pellegrini said after the match. "He has a problem with his hamstring and has had a problem in his back for the past week. Tomorrow we will see, with the doctor, what is the problem with Joe.

"We hope we don't lose him but if for some reason he cannot play I have trust in Willy Caballero."

Manchester City's injury woes don't end here, however, as Pellegrini also provided an update on club captain Vincent Kompany and star attacker David Silva - the former has been ruled out for the club's Saturday Premier League fixture against Southampton.
