Report: Villa's Jack Grealish demoted to youth squad after nightclub incident

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has relegated Jack Grealish to the club's under-21 side after the midfielder's latest night out, reports John Percy of The Telegraph.

Grealish will not be fined, but he could face a long stretch out of the senior team as a result of his antics at a Manchester nightclub. His spot in the lineup for Saturday's match against Watford is also under threat.

Footage allegedly shows the 20-year-old and his friends inhaling balloons and ordering champagne just hours after last weekend's 4-0 loss to Everton. Grealish played 74 minutes that day, and reportedly spent the next partying at a Birmingham hotel.

His reputation took a big hit during an off-season trip to Brazil. Photos on Twitter showed Grealish lying on the pavement outside an apartment in Tenerife.

Villa fined him earlier in the year for venting his frustration toward the club's former manager Paul Lambert on social media.

Grealish, who has yet to play for England despite pledging his international allegiance to the country of his birth, has just one Premier League goal to date.
