Nottingham Forest to investigate row between pitch invader and Derby's Johnson

Championship side Nottingham Forest will investigate an altercation involving a pitch invader and Rams midfielder Bradley Johnson that followed Friday's 1-0 victory over Derby County.

Nelson Oliveira's fifth-minute strike was the difference, but what happened on the pitch at the City Ground post-match was the most newsworthy moment, as a Forest supporter made a beeline for Johnson. The former Norwich City man straight-armed the trespassing supporter.

Forest has promised to look further into the incident, according to the Guardian, with Preston North End's £10,000 fine earlier Friday looming as a potential penalty for the Nottinghamshire side.

A play-off match last season between North End and Chesterfield ended with Spireites defender Ian Evatt's assault by a supporter, who later received a three-year ban in conjunction with the fine levied on the promoted Lancashire side.
