Goalkeeper Adrian signs 2-year contract with West Ham
Spanish goalkeeper Adrian has signed a new deal with West Ham which will keep him at the London club until 2017.
The contract includes an option for a further two years.
The 28-year-old has made some big saves since joining West Ham in 2013 from Real Betis.
Among the most memorable matches was last season's FA Cup third-round tie against Everton which required a shootout. Adrian saved a penalty and scored one of his own to secure the Hammers' passage into the fourth round.
Adrian was just as much a hero in West Ham's 2-1 win at Manchester City early in this campaign, making eight stops in the process.
"I never imagined this kind of relationship with the fans. I spent 16 years at Real Betis and it was difficult to leave your home," Adrian told West Ham's official website.
"But from the moment I arrived in London the West Ham fans had a special relationship with me. ... This is my third season here and I want to stay here for a long time."
