Zhou Guanyu: Tops Day 2 of Bahrain Test

Guanyu shot to the top of the timesheets on Friday evening in Bahrain, where Mercedes brought out a red flag as George Russell's W14 ground to a halt, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

Day 2 of Bahrain testing would see Carlos Sainz set the best lap in the morning session. Max Verstappen would later bump that marker in the afternoon session. Guanyu would rise late in the evening under the lights and post a lap of 1:31.610 to bump the Red Bull Racing star from atop the timesheets. It was a very impressive performance by the Alfa Romeo driver as they look to gain more pace in the 2023 season.
