John Hunter Nemechek: Runner-up Finish at Daytona
Nemechek finished second in the Beef. It's What's For Dinner. 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway Saturday evening.
Analysis:
Nemechek would start seventh on the grid and mix it up among the leaders all evening at the Daytona oval. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver would lead 8 total laps and be a fixture among the Top 10 the full event. A late caution would force an overtime restart and Nemechek would take full advantage to challenge for the win. A wreck among the leaders would be a great opportunity for Nemechek to pass and grab some late positions. NASCAR would declare him the runner-up finisher at the time the caution came out for the final time.
