Report: Liverpool accepts bid from West Brom for Rickie Lambert

Rickie Lambert is one step closer to moving to The Hawthorns as Liverpool has accepted a bid from West Bromwich Albion for the 33-year-old forward believed to be valued at just under £3 million, according to Andy Hunter of the Guardian.

Lambert has apparently been given permission to undergo a medical at West Brom and will become the club's third signing of the summer should he agree to terms.

Lambert only tallied two goals through 25 Premier League appearances last season, 18 of which were as a substitute. The numbers marked a sharp decline from his prior campaign at Southampton, in which he notched 13 goals and 10 assists.

The £3-million price tag reflects Lambert's slump, as Liverpool reportedly paid £4.5 million for its former academy player last summer.
