Manuel Pellegrini admits Dzeko could leave Manchester City for Inter Milan

Inter Milan could potentially be Edin Dzeko's next destination as the Italian club attempts to take advantage of the Bosnian's frustrating time with Manchester City.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted Dzeko could be heading for the exits after explaining why the striker was absent from the team's preseason match against Roma in the United States.

"Edin didn't play the last game as it's not clear if he will continue here," Pellegrini told reporters. "He is still working here with the whole squad," he added.

Dzeko's departure looks to be a result of the team's acquisition of Wilfried Bony and their eagerness to ensure an increased role alongside Sergio Aguero.

His final season in City was one of his poorest after only managing to score six goals in 31 matches.
