Allan Nyom is set to battle it out with Juan Carlos Paredes for the starting right-back spot at Vicarage Road.

Watford announced Wednesday that the Cameroonian defender put pen to paper on a four-year contract after completing a permanent move from Udinese Calcio.

Nyom spent the last six seasons of his career on loan at Granada CF, featuring for the club more than 200 times, including 135 La Liga appearances. The 2014-15 campaign saw him average 3.1 clearances, 2.8 tackles, and 2.1 interceptions per game.

He also took to Twitter on Wednesday to bid farewell to Granada, writing: "How can I say goodbye to Granada? .... I can't."
